anw, i kinda wanna blog about economics symposium! haha, so that when i read back like years from now it will be so awesome.
well, we left school early. 1255 while others were having econs test, we went to the toilet to change into our white shirt + tie + dress shoes + skirt/pants + blazer. haha, ok not blazer la. it would have been suicide wearing that in such hot weather. and we cabbed down to vjc at 115. ms ng, arj, weiyi and i in one cab, and vijay, alvin and joseph in the other. was educating ms ng on "imba".. after we just educated mr lin on the same words few days ago at AHS. haha. generation gap la. haha. anw, she just couldnt get it. so i said it means comparative advantage. haha, must link everything to economics for these economics tutors you see. then after that she got it. LOL.
anw at vjc we were there before all other teams, then i was just looking at the empty performing theatre and there was the most emo song playing in the bg (this i promise you by nsync) and the thought came to my mind "if this was the moment where all your dreams came true, or the moment where you failed, who do you want by your side to go through it with you?" haha, what wrong with me i know. lol. anw, it was in that moment where i realised that no matter what happened that i would want my Father in Heaven holding me through it all. ten ms ng told me to go toilet to fix my hair. haha which means pin it all up. haha, i felt so not myself with hair all off my face. haha, told the 5 guys that they were in the highest privilege cause they would be the only 5 guys in the world to ever see my hair in such a state.
haha anw so the symposium starts, then AJ presented. (bitching already carried out by alvin and vijay---such girls lol---so i shall not comment) then ACSI. was quite hilarious i saw the 2 VJ guys beside me sleeping. then was our turn to go. i woke the VJ guy up and told him i was presenting he better not sleep. haha, he laughed then when i got off stage he told me "hey, i ddnt sleep" i was laughing la. quite funny guy. he was playing worms while RJC was presenting. -.- and then after awhile he tried to teach me how to play worms, but my noobness was so unbelievable i think he gave up. lol. then during the speech given by the dean of nus business school, he went away for awhile then when he came back he ran and slammed into the seat. arj and i was like leaning to the other side of the seat in err.. fear hahaha. then i said "eh, i know you very excited to sit beside me, but err.. must you really create such a scene?" then he quite funny. he said "i wanted to get back fast so that no one would be disrupted." lol, arj and i couldnt stop laughing la. haha but eh what was quite funny was what he said during RJCs presentation. cause they did some alien themed presentation. then suddenly he leaned over and said "walao, i think their really aliens la. intellectually too high up there already. cant stand it sia" hahaha. then all the mj and vj guys that heard started laughing. -.-
anw after the whole thingy we went into this room to talk to all the professors and eat food. haha, apparently the dean of nus business school is classmates with paul romer, and we used paul romer's endogenous growth model in our presentation. hahaha, then arj and i were talking to him about india versus china and why china people are more productive then indians and how if you put the chinese in india and and indians in china, the indians would then become the more productive lot. haha, seems weird but aiya i kinda enjoy talking about intellectual things too sometimes. alot im known for my nonsense. haha.
had debrief with mrlin, who somehow managed to book out of reservist again when the "singapore armor was supposedly going fully operational" haha. can tell he's really quite upset but holding back. haha he almost screamed "bloody hell" at the whole room at one point. haha basically the debrief went like this: first, he praise himself on how imba he is and how much work he's put in. then, he talked about some inside stuff he found out from the judges. and then he said do better for your next presentation. hahaha. ok la, we agree with the first point that he brought us far. but...

went pp with the guys to eat icecream. (:
then went home with weiyi. cant believe he stays at geylang. haha, but eh... ok la. his house is really really really nice. hahaha. when you walk in it looks nicer than mine really. confirm one!o on the way back there was an emo song playing. the one from anastasia. the "we were strangers, started out on a journey. never dreaming, what we had to go through... now here we are...." haha yea that one. lol. it was like such a 'fall flat' moment. haha eh symposium is just over, dont make me miss it already. hahaha. well that was all from symposium day. haha, i dont know la. my biggest takeaway was not from the day itself, but rather from the entire 2 months of slogging over it.
