hmm, i think i shall post what God has been speaking to me for the past few days.
i remember some time back a friend told me:
"Enjoy your Christian walk, don't see it as a job."
i remember bringing up that phrase during a sharing session we had on the last official cell of girly 45, when cons shared her message on the 4 Fs, or rather she tried to make it the 5 Fs but she forgot her last point hahahaha.
anw, over the encounters weekend, seeing all the people falling under the presence of God, getting delivered from strongholds in their life and seeing God do a work in them to transform their lives, i felt so jealous of what they had. then i realised that i had that privilege as well as a Christian.
many people 'dread' Christianity: dont drink, dont smoke, dont club, dont dress indecently... they look at the things we can't do, rather than the things we can.
As a Christian, i am privileged to be able to:
- come into the presence of the Most Holy God.
- feel the tangible love of a Father who loves me so much, He sent Jesus to take the weight of my sin.
- have the assurance that my future is in His hands, and that i have a destiny in Christ.
- seek refuge in His everlasting arms, arms that will never forsake me.
- know that all my needs are taken care of by God my provider.
- find healing from any sickness.
- be a shareholder in soul-winning.
- enter the gates of heaven one day to come face to face with my Creator.
- feel the warmth of God's embrace, even when i'm feeling cold on the inside.
- be given a second chance, and have God do a restoration in me even though i fall.
- have a relationship with the author and perfector of my faith.
- pray, talking to my heavenly Father who hears my every cry.
- intercede for those i know who do not know Christ and yet unknowingly need Him so much in their lives.
the list doesnt end. it really doesnt.
God, could i have the privilege of coming into your presence again?
could i have the privilege of feeling your everlasting love?
