it was a good was to officially close gen43 of 2007 and welcome gen44 and gen 45 of 2008.
GEN45 WILL BE A ROCKIN' CELL CAUSE WE ARE YOUNG!! haha. yes, that includes adora too. haha, just kidding.
DAYONE!
we all met at pasir ris MRT and made our way to downtown east(which was only one stop away ha). waited at the aranda country club lobby for quite awhile coz lijuan and ahlee hadnt arrived. so we basically sat there having a serious conversation about the economy talking nonsence and COLLECTING MONEY!!
after we finally got our room we went to put our stuff down then went to subway to eat. and we talked more while eating... long time no cell la. after we finished eating we went back to the room. on our way back we ran into this crazy madman(he's the one that stalked me and adora at macs before). he was standing at the spot we planned to play our games at. haha. quite freaked out. but anw, we went back to the room to prepare for games. filled water balloons, cut trash bags and gathered random items.
then we went to the balcony to play the first game. this is how the game looked:
basically you have to crawl under the mess of rafia to get to the other side then blow a ping pong ball which is in the tray of flour to the bowl at the other side. flour was flying everywhere man. haha. i suck at that game. it took me really long to get my first ping pong ball in. but after that was ok. and like, the flour kept flying all over me. haha. my blowing technique seriously cannot make it la. haha.
but it was fun. then after that game we went into the living room where we played our next game. its like an area where there are like many many bombs(plastic cups) which will move around when the game is happening. and the person who is in the marked off area has to like move around blindfolded to get the items lying in the area but not touch the bombs. then each person has a guide to tell them where to go even though they are blindfolded. yep. i was blindfolded and gerry was my guide. haha. it was quite easy for us la. haha. except that gerry kept screaming whenever tim moved bombs right in front of my feet. haha.
our next game was played at the madman area, but of course the madman left alr. haha. it was minesweeper. like a 5x6 tile area was marked off.
so basically we have to get past to the other end without touching the mines. when we step on a tile containing the mines, we will get bombarded with water bombs. haha. i got soaked. seriously seriously soaked. and the water bombs hurt la. haha. then we played the 'guess number game'. actually you are not supposed to hit the number la. haha. a number between 1 to 200. eg: the 'unknown' number is 163. if i guess 100, then the game master will say 100 to 200. but if i say 163, i get bombed with a water bomb. yep. i got bombed once. when gerry was gamemaster. and it was super early in the round that i got bombed. haha. somehow i just felt the number 103, so i said 103, and it was 103, so i got bombed. haha. and after that we played another game where you basically just throw water bombs around to each other but you have to catch one coming at you as well. haha. didnt get wet. but many water bombs burst.
after the games we washed up then just hung around in the living room. ordered macs for dinner cause it started to rain. lijuan arranged the sauces in an extremely OCD manner. like colour coded and all haha. it was quite creepy but looked nice la. then we had praise and worship. i led for the first time. it was ok i guess. YAY!! at least i didnt bomb or something. haha. then william shared his message, the 5 keys of success, which was actually the message he first preached at cell. so he insisted that cons, gerry, tim, lijuan and i each take a key. tim spoke about the 1st key, ANSWERS, then lijuan took the 2nd, EXCELLENCE, i took the 3rd, HOSPITALITY, gerry took the 4th, TEAMWORK, cons took the 5th, PURE MOTIVES. then william summed everything up. (the verse for the message is 1 kings 10:1-5)
after the message was over it was time for our appreciation session. we all
went round to appreciate one another. i cried. haha. gerry and amelia cried too. haha. at least i wasnt alone. haha. we took video of the whole session. it lasted 4 hours btw. haha. it was time well-spent.
after that most of the people went to sleep. except adora and i who were playing guit and singing. we couldnt sleep cause some ppl wanted to wake up to watch sunrise. so we passed time by making breakfast too. haha. when we finally woke them up they all refused to wake up. so we just gave up and went to sleep instead. i slept on the floor in the living room.
in the end they couldnt get me and tim to wake up. haha.
DAYTWO!
we got up then changed rooms. we moved to another room on the first level. the moment we went in, we could smell alot of smoke. quite gross. got air freshener for the reception and sprayed the whole room obsessively. marcus merry and daniel(future 4.4) came to join us. coz we were going to WILD WILD WET.

we came back to the room at 3 for a session by lijuan. she talked about new year resolutions. daniel 11:32. a three point sermon. haha. 1)know their God; 2)be strong; 3)do great exploits. after her session some went to wild wild wet again while some watched the end of the spear. i on the other hand SLEPT! haha. woke up around dinner time. 44 and 45 had their own separate meetings. we started by appreciating liuyan since she was around. then she said things about us too. then after she left we went into the boys room to talk about cell stuff. like just share what was on our hearts. response was good. can tell that everyone is pumped about 45 in 2008. haha.
after the meetings we played the murder mystery done up by gerry. it was seriously funny.
BACKGROUND INFO: it was jane's party, however she was murdered by someone in the room. here is everyones motive of killing her:
cons(the maid): bad terms with jane(her employer). typical overworked-underpaid scenario. cons wanna play netball but cant cause of her employer and smth about jane breaking her netball.
tim(the playboy boyfriend): he is dating jane and grace at the same time(and also many other girls who are not characters in the murder). jane expects him to propose to her, however he wants to break up with her. jane is like a crazy controlling girlfriend.
hannah(sister): on bad terms with jane. (i forgot her motive)
maxine(best friend): tries to warn jane of tim and grace's relationship but jane refuses to listen to her. she is angry at jane. jane also is neglecting her and pushing her away.
amanda(youngest sister): father gives most of the inheritance to jane instead of her. she wants the inheritance. if jane dies, it will go to her.
adorathy(musician): hired to play for jane, however jane never pays her. needs money desperately.
grace(3rd party): jealous of jane and tims relationship.
william(jane's competitor in maths comps): found out that jane cheated in all competitions and that is how she won him. upset and angry.
marcus(tims bro): has a crush on maxine. saw that jane mistreats max.
i dont remember amelia's character.

and the murderer is..... MARCUS!! haha. shocking. basically it turns out he's some kinda loner. no friends. only has max, which he likes, and in order to have her to himself he kills jane in jealousy. and also since jane treats max badly it would end her misery. haha.
